Ever wondered how some people are able to grab confirmed Tatkal tickets before you do? The answer might surprise you. They’re using unauthorized softwares like Nexus, Sikka V2, Bigboss and fusion to automate the ticket booking process.

These illegal applications bypass IRCTC’s login captcha, booking captcha and bank OTP to register ticket. While booking a tatkal ticket on the official website takes 2.55 minutes, those who use these softwares can complete the same in less than a minute.

The man behind this nexus https://www.nasatatkalsoftware.com/ , identified as Shamsher Alam from Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the RPF in Tamil Nadu after an investigation. He has been charged with cheating the Indian Railways by creating a fake software to book tatkal tickets online.

He used to rent out the 'Fusion' software for Rs 500 per month and used to operate from a small ticket booking shop in Kurla, Mumbai. He would also sell the software to private agents, who in turn made money from it. According to the police, Alam earned over Rs 50 crore from his illegal activity.

In July 2022, a team of the RPF raided the homes of five ticket booking agents in Vellore and they spilled the beans about this illegal software. The agents allegedly said the software allowed them to reserve tickets quickly by placing their name at the top of the order, bypassing genuine commuters. These agents were able to make hundreds of bookings within a few seconds of the tatkal window opening, which is only available for those who have registered themselves in IRCTC. They sold these tickets to commuters at exorbitant rates, which were even up to four times higher than the actual price.
