Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed an exclusive key case to commemorate the brand's centennial. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys as well as a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

Bentley is known as a luxury car manufacturer that creates extravagant and luxurious cars. However, even the keys are a statement. The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner to become the ultimate Grand Touring car. It has two opposing pairs of rear seats that were inspired by the luxury of private aviation and provides passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy. The bespoke heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was developed to give every passenger the perfect climate control setting.

The Mulsanne features twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is complemented by a revolutionary suspension design that gives Bentley's signature hushed ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a custom-designed specification known as the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embroidered with Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a bespoke Bentley keycase, completing the Bentley experience.


The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the second that starts the vehicle. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. This feature helps you get into and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, shaped by hand, stitched to seal, and polished to achieve a high-quality result. It is sturdy, compact, and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a luxurious feel.

It also comes with Secure-A-Key, which helps prevent keyless entry theft. This device is put into the remote control fob, and it shuts it down if the key is not utilized for a period of a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can be used to open and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design is a reflection of the company's values, which include fine craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as the latest technologies. Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers create their own car. Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to construct and put together a Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to take advantage of modern technology. The Crewe factory workers do not use a machine to space perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. are required to park their vehicles manually, not using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization skills with a unique Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars are available in 100. a special key that displays a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
